OBJECTIVE/SOLUTION
A history wall displaying the beginnings of the building it’s featured in, as well as the city and some of its culture.
The Basement is a collective of businesses occupying Reno’s historic Post Office and Federal Building. Located in the heart of downtown, the history of the building and its surrounding real estate is full of stories worth sharing.
This display showcases the history of the architecture, culture, and opportunities found not only in Reno, Nevada, but in the building itself.
Copper pipes, original to the building, connect the information displayed along the hallway. As viewers travel from one end of the hallway to the other, they discover details of the architecture and interior design, the divorce culture that brought many to Reno, and of the surrounding casinos and businesses that still stand today.
